Exhibition: „Béton“ at Kunsthalle Wien

In the 1950s and 1960s, concrete was regarded as the epitome of modernism. The related architectural style is called „brutalism“ and stands among other things for social housing. Today, many of the buildings built at that time are threatened with demolition. With the exhibition the original ideas of the architectural style will be once again carved out.
26. Music Film Festival at City Hall Square

Music films from opera to pop will be daily shown on a giant open-air screen at City Hall Square starting at twilight. Also the culinary specialities from all over the world make the festival one of the hot spots during summer.

In the Albertina, 100 selected paintings, watercolours and drawings by Seurat, Signac, Matisse and other great artists will illuminate the development of the pioneering dot-based technique between 1886 and 1930.
Circus Roncalli – Jubilee Tour

It is the 40th tour by Circus Roncalli and named “40 years of Travelling to the rainbow”. More than 100 artists and players from 20 nations will take the audience along a journey between nostalgia and modern art of entertainment.
Wiener Wiesn-Fest

Exhibition: „Edmund de Waal – During the Night“

Edmund de Waal, a ceramicist and author of of the book „The Hare with the Amber Eyes“ will curate an exhibition in the Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna and continue the series „Artist’s Choice“ focusing on contemporary art. Internationally- renowned artists are invited to curate an exhibition with artworks selected from the different collections of the museum.
10th Vienna Design Week

The Vienna Design Week will take place for the tenth time and focus on design with numerous events from a range of different perspectives. The Czech Republic will be this year’s guest country and Vienna’s fifth district with the festival headquarters will be the main location.

The first ever Wiener Fahrradschau is an extension of the Berlin Bike Show and will take place in the Marx Halle. Many exhibitors will present their brands. Lots of other events and program around the bicycle such as the fifth Radkult Festival will take place at the same time.
