Exhibition: Erwin Wurm – Performative Sculptures

The exhibition will focus on the performative sculptures of the Austrian artist Erwin Wurm between 1990 and 2017. Outstanding examples of architecture, which are simultaneously objeets of every-day use, will be shown.

For ten days, Vienna will be the center of gay and lesbian Austria. Europe’s biggest AIDS charity event – the Life Ball will be celebrated on June 10. From June 14 the Pride Village will offer a mix of culture, shows, Information and parties on City Hall Square. The highlight of the Vienna Pride is the Rainbow Parade on Vienna’s Ringstrasse.

Open Airs on Danube Island:

Rock in Vienna (June 2-5, 2017)

Danube Island Festival (June 23-25, 2017)

Over the long Pentecost weekend, Die Toten Hosen, Kings Of Leon, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Deichkind and many other bands will rock the Danube Island for four days. At the end of June Europe’s biggest free open air event – the Danube Island Festival – will once again attract around three million visitors. Concerts (Samy Deluxe, Russkaja, Seiler und Speer, Camo & Krooked …), cab-aret, sport and children’s program turn the Island into a big party zone.
